Is Kizomba the sexiest dance ever? It is...but just outside Angola.
Yes, because Kizomba is dance and a musical genre originating in Angola, a former Portuguese colony and it means "party" in Kimbundu, an Angolan language.
Kizomba dance comes from the Angolan Semba and Kizomba music from the traditional Angolan Semba music with the French Antilles Zouk.
Why it became famous as "The Sexiest Dance Ever"?
Traditionally, the dance involves two people in a close embrace with their torsos touching. One dancer - usually a man - leads and the other follows in a slow walk, stepping backwards and forwards, and drawing a circle with their movements. This is enhanced by movements with the hips.
This is how it looks in Angola:

Semba and kizomba were danced in family settings, at large parties called kizombadas. Mothers can dance with their sons, a father can dance with his daughter and so on.
As kizomba has gained popularity abroad, Angolans have become concerned that it is losing its original flavour as a fun, family friendly dance, and being confused with something else, more sensual.
This due to the fact that kizomba have come in contact with other type of musics, such as R&B, Hip Hop, and Rap which gave rise to another dance style called Urban Kizomba or Urban Kiz, and that is what is danced nowadays in Europe.
Urban Kizomba is a derivative of the Kizomba dance style and it is danced with Kizomba remixes of R&B, Rap, Dance and Hip Hop.
As the music changed, the dancers made new interpretations on how to move on this music. The main difference with Kizomba is that the dancers generally have a larger distance between them and often don't have the chest-to-chest connection as is common with Kizomba.
The figures made often also require movement along straight lines or changing direction only at perpendicular angles or reversing direction. Pivots and pirouettes of the lady are also more common in Urban Kiz than in Kizomba.
Here is a good example of Urban Kizz danced in the strets of Paris:

But it is not finished yet:
When people think about Kizomba they just imagine women backs’, hips’, ass’, and sexy movements, because they think about Tarraxa or Tarraxinha:
Tarraxa as music and as a dance is a little bit different from kizomba. It is danced on Urban kizz songs or kizomba remixes of pop songs.
The music has much lower beats per minute and sometimes the dancing looks like that the couple is standing still in place.
The movement of the girl is mostly with the hips, which is lead by the guy. The girls is able to complete isolate the hip movement from other parts of the body, which are static through the entire dance.
Tarraxa is slower, more intimate, almost as if you're having your way on the dance floor.
In urban kizz there seems always to be a slow part of the song, where most dance couples slow down and use a lot of the Tarraxa movement.
Here it is a good example of Tarraxa:

What is Kizomba at the end and why people love dancing it?
Despite the different styles and way of interpreting it, it remains a Connection Dance.

People are embraced and relaxed; the woman has to feel comfortable and at ease leaning on the man's shoulder. Steps are really small and simulate a normal walk.
I must confess that when I dance kizomba, I embrace my partner, I close my eyes, I start to feel the music, and movements come from themselves.
It is like dancing in a big hug, so why people should not like it?
Everybody needs affection.
I will leave you with some more videos:
